Selling on Vestiaire Collective: a UK reseller guide
How Vestiaire Collective works for UK sellers: the luxury audience, authentication, the fees with a worked example, and how deteqta helps.
Who it is for. Vestiaire is the home for luxury and designer resale: bags, shoes, and high value pieces, sold to buyers who expect authentication and detail.
What sells well. Designer bags and shoes, premium labels, and higher value items in the few hundred pounds and up range, where authentication gives buyers the confidence to commit.
The fees, plainly. Listing is free. On a sale, expect a selling fee of around 12% (lower on cheaper items, and promotions sometimes reduce it for eligible brands), plus a payment processing fee of about 3%. There is a minimum listing price. Always check the current rate, because Vestiaire runs promotions that move it.
Worked example: sell a designer bag for £400. A selling fee of about 12% (£48) plus 3% processing (£12) comes off, so you keep roughly £340, before any currency conversion.
How it works. Higher value items are sent to Vestiaire first for authentication before reaching the buyer, which protects both sides but slows the payout. Detail, photos, and proof of origin matter.
How deteqta helps. Deteqt the item for the most to pay, a target sell price from real sold prices, and your profit after fees, plus whether Vestiaire is the right home for that exact piece.
