What is deteqta?
A pricing app for UK resellers. You deteqt an item, by text or photo, and it returns a Valuation: the most to pay, the target sell price, your profit after fees, and the best platforms to sell on.
Is it really free to try?
Yes. Three Valuations, lifetime, no card needed. After that, Standard and Pro give you more (see Pricing).
Where does the pricing data come from?
Real sold prices across the major UK and EU resale platforms, what items like yours have actually sold for, not an AI's guess. We combine that evidence with AI analysis to tailor the buy and sell numbers to your exact item.
How does the confidence score work?
It reflects how much deteqta has to go on. A text only description usually scores around 40 to 65%. Clear photos of the item, label and tags push it toward 70 to 95%. We would aim for at least 75% before making a buying call, and you can always add detail to climb higher.
How is the recommended price worked out?
The maximum buy price is set to leave a healthy margin after platform fees on your recommended platform. The target sell price reflects what similar items in similar condition are achieving now. Estimated profit is after platform fees; it does not include postage, which varies by item and carrier.
What if deteqta gets something wrong?
Every Valuation shows how it read your item: brand, model, size, material, colour, category. If anything is off, tap Edit, correct it, and run it again. Running again with a correction is free and doesn't use a scan (one free correction per scan).
Which platforms does it cover?
The major UK and EU resale marketplaces used by clothing and footwear resellers: eBay, Vinted, Depop, Facebook Marketplace, Grailed, StockX and Vestiaire Collective. US only platforms like Poshmark and Mercari are not included, as they are not relevant to the UK and EU market.
Can it tell me if something is fake?
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. deteqta flags what is worth checking on an item's authenticity, but the genuine or fake call stays with you. Treat it as a prompt to look closer, not a verdict.
Do I need a separate account for the website and the app?
No. It is one account. Sign in on either and it is the same you, same plan, same details.
How many Valuations do I get on each plan?
Free: 3, lifetime. Standard: 75 a month, resetting on the 1st. Pro: unlimited, with a fair use soft cap around 500 a month, plus early access to new features.
Will it work outside the UK, or in other languages?
deteqta is UK first today. We are building it to support more languages and markets over time. English first, then the major European resale markets.
