- The label era. The style of the inner label dates a piece. Older labels on a desirable model, often with bolder vintage colourways, are what collectors chase.
- Colourways. Bold and discontinued vintage colourways lift value well above plain modern ones.
- Made in markers and special editions. Older production and limited or collaboration pieces carry extra interest, and the label usually tells you.
